  • YWCA Westman Women’s Shelter

    The YWCA Westman Women’s Shelter provides safe, emergency shelter to individuals and their children who are at risk due to relationship violence. The Shelter is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and has space for up to 24 women and children.

    The YWCA Brandon transitional residence and emergency family units are closed since May 2022.

    Peaceful Futures

    Peaceful Futures is a free counselling program with qualified marriage and family therapists for couples seeking to deal with their past relationship issues, and are committed to a peaceful future. Peaceful Futures requires that couples;

      Have no current court involvement regarding abuse
     •  Participate in a structured assessment process
    •   Commit to an abuse free relationship

  • YWCA Safe Space

    Safe space is a school-based program that was created for female identifying youths to give them a safe space to share their thoughts, feelings, emotions and connect with their peers. All while learning about healthy relationships, self-esteem, cyber bullying, peer-pressure, friendships and body image. This program helps youths to foster self-esteem and confidence so they may strive to create and maintain healthy relationships throughout their lives, with not just others but also themselves.

    The Strength in Me

    The YWCA Strength in Me is a one-day annual conference concentrates on engaging students between the ages of 10-13 years old. The goal of the conference is to educate and provide them with tools to develop their identities, strengths and to empower them to be all they can be. Breakout sessions discuss important topics as they are growing up to have them discover themselves, their inner strengths, educate them on leadership, teamwork skills, healthy relationships, self-esteem and more. This conference also aims for them to have personal goals as they grow in life. This educational and interactive conference is hosted at no cost to students. Snacks and lunch are also provided
